The Update “Good artists copy; great artists steal.” That could sound like Instagram’s motto, as they recently came out with an update that displays a feature nearly identical to Snapchat. Instagram Stories is the new feature that sits at the top of the users newsfeed that allows them to click and see a streamline of photos/videos their friends post, which then disappear after 24 hours.

STEM Day at the Iowa State Fair – Twice as Nice

From the thousands of people who proudly wore “Greatness STEMs from Iowans” backpacks to hundreds of the families who participated in hands-on activities, the second annual STEM Day at the Iowa State Fair proved to be even better than the notorious butter cow. Thanks to our great partnerships with the Iowa Governor’s STEM Advisory Council, we worked side-by-side with their team to coordinate a special day that helped increase interest and awareness of science, technology, engineering and mathematics among Iowans by promoting it across the fairgrounds.

Earlier this month, the PRSSA chapter at Drake held their 2015 PRSSA Regional Conference, Expect the Unexpected in downtown Des Moines. The theme was picked to help combat the stereotype about Iowa being full of cornfields and farmers by showcasing the numerous opportunities and corporations that exist in Iowa. The theme also tapped into the importance of thinking on your toes in the field of PR and how to prepare yourself, and your clients, for any situation they could be faced with.
