Agency Awarded National ADDY® Award

(DES MOINES, May 22, 2009) – Thousands of marketing firms around the world enter the American Advertising Federation’s ADDY® Awards each year. Only a select few rise from local competitions, through regional judging to the national and international stage. Strategic America (SA), a full-service, integrated marketing firm based in Des Moines, has done just that, proving that innovation is not based on geographic location of the creative firm.

SA’s 2007 Annual Report for the Mid-Iowa Council Boy Scouts was judged by some of the biggest names in advertising and competed against international firms for the honor.

“This is our first win at this highest level of the ADDY® Awards,” says Bruce Ganzer, SA‘s Creative Director. “It is a huge honor, especially because we were up against some big global names in the industry. Our win speaks to the talent of our team and the passion we bring to our work.”

Though SA knows it has won a National ADDY® Award, the level (Gold or Silver) will not be announced until June 6, 2009, at an awards ceremony in Washington, D.C.

The ADDY® Awards are the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, recognizing and rewarding creative excellence in the art of advertising. Every year, approximately 60,000 entries are submitted to compete.

Strategic America was founded in 1980 and employs 90 communications professionals. SA represents more than 40 diverse national, regional and local clients, focusing on business-to-business, dealer, retail, consumer and insurance/financial services marketing. Strategic America is a well-regarded member of the American Association of Advertising Agencies (AAAA), Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and Worldcom Public Relations Group.
