Agency selected for top honors for the fourth consecutive year

In May 2021, Strategic America (SA) earned five Telly Awards for video work with the Lennox Dealers Co-Op Program, the Iowa Lottery, Catch Des Moines and Broadlawns Medical Center. Founded in 1979 to honor excellence in television, the awards now include video on all platforms. Each year, thousands of entries are submitted from across the United States and beyond.

Strategic America has taken home Telly Awards for the last five years. This is the fourth consecutive year the agency has taken home a Gold Telly, the top honor for the award.

This video campaign included a series of videos that show the difference perfect air can make. Better sleep. Better relaxation. Better savings. Built to be customized for local dealers, the videos show the emotional side of the HVAC industry—and how home improvement can have a big impact on the people we love.

Iowa Lottery, Winner Wonderland

Winner Wonderland is a lighthearted look at the changes ahead for the first holiday season during the pandemic—from Santa using hand sanitizer to elbow bumps under the mistletoe. The spot showed while traditions were changing, fun from the Iowa Lottery wouldn’t stop. Strategic America and the Iowa Lottery have earned five Telly Awards together in the last few years.

Broadlawns Medical Center, Family Birthing Moment

In 2020, Broadlawns Medical Center opened their newly constructed Birthing Center for expecting families in Des Moines, Iowa. Strategic America created Family Birthing Moment to demonstrate how the new amenities—including private suites and a secure nursery—and experienced staff can help Central Iowa families begin their lives together. This is the fourth Telly Award Strategic America has earned for work with Broadlawns Medical Center.

Catch Des Moines, Travel Bonds

During the COVID-19 pandemic, hotels saw a sharp decrease in guests as communities pushed to stay home. Knowing visitors weren’t ready to travel right then but would be someday soon, Catch Des Moines created an initiative called ‘Buy Now, Visit Later’. The program allowed tourists and Central Iowans the opportunity to purchase $100 worth of credit for Des Moines hotels. After 60 days, the bond value increased to $150.

Strategic America created a video to promote the new bonds, with a focus on beautiful Central Iowa scenery, amenities and the difference a purchase could make for the community. 

Catch Des Moines, Sofa Seeing

Non-Broadcast – Travel/Tourism

Created as “a traveler’s guide to one day traveling soon,” the Sofa Seeing campaign featured videos meant to transport viewers to Des Moines for a virtual visit during the COVID-19 pandemic. Focused on Central Iowa as a culinary and family-friendly destination, these videos utilized existing footage and photos showing how vibrant the region really is.
