(WEST DES MOINES, February 27, 2021) Strategic America earned both a silver and judge’s choice award for their Back Together, Better Together internal campaign at the American Advertising Federation Des Moines AA Awards.

The campaign was created to welcome Strategic Americans back to the office after the first wave of COVID-19. At the time, it appeared the entire office would be able to return within a few months. However, the return to office plan evolved along with the pandemic. The majority of SA associates continue to work from home, with those in the office following increased safety precautions.

During the first few weeks of working remotely, SA held a company-wide meeting twice a week. On Fridays, John Schreurs, Strategic America CEO, shared a song with associates to start the weekend. Over time, these motivating, joyful songs became a playlist for the agency—and the inspiration for the Back Together, Better Together campaign. T-shirts, posters and office signage were created around a playlist theme to welcome SAers back, while highlighting some of the health and safety requirements of the new normal.

Also included with the campaign were ‘return-to-work’ kits with hand sanitizer, an SA-branded mask and a Better Together T-shirt. Color-coded wrist bands were also available to make it easy to determine comfort level when interacting with co-workers.
