Strategic America Supports Fight Against Pancreatic Cancer

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa (May 7, 2025) – Strategic America (SA), an employee-owned, integrated marketing and public relations firm based in West Des Moines, Iowa, raised $2,286 for PanCan’s PurpleStride this year. Each year, Strategic Americans participate in PanCan’s PurpleStride fundraising walk to raise awareness of pancreatic cancer. All donations SA sends to PanCan help fund vital research that can bring new treatment options and support to patients and their families.

In addition, SA received recognition for being the #1 company team of the year from PanCan PurpleStride. SA Team Leader for PanCan PurpleStride, Claire Schreurs, shared how her personal family history motivated her to lead the event.

“PurpleStride is a deeply personal day for me. I walk in honor of my mom, who we lost after a tough, hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer. The disease is brutal, and while the survival rate is improving, it’s still far too low. Being part of the event—and seeing our company and community come together to raise funds and awareness—was incredibly meaningful. It’s one way I keep her memory close while helping push for more research, awareness and hope for others facing this disease,” said Schreurs.
