SA Wins Torch Award

A decades-long commitment to trust has earned Strategic America, an integrated marketing communications agency based in West Des Moines, Iowa, a 2016 Torch Award for Ethics. The award is presented to five businesses and one nonprofit every year by the Better Business Bureau Serving Greater Iowa, Quad Cities and Siouxland Region.

“Integrity has been a core value at SA since our beginning, and it’s one that we build every plan around,” said Mike Schreurs, Founder and CEO of Strategic America. “This award is a great honor, and it’s testament to every associate and the work we’re delivering for clients across the U.S. and Canada every day.”

Since 1993, the BBB Torch Award for Ethics recognizes companies that display an outstanding level of ethics and integrity in all of their business dealings. Organizations must be nominated for the award and submit an application that is scored in four categories: organizational practices; reputation within the industry and community; marketing, advertising and communication practices; and customer, vendor and supplier relationships.

Along with SA, four other Des Moines-based companies were named 2016 Torch Award winners —Palmer Group, Bell Brothers Heating and Cooling, Willis Auto Campus and Shade Tree Auto. Cedar Bend Humane Society of Waterloo won in the nonprofit division.

Strategic America is one of only four companies in Iowa, and the only advertising company, to have won the BBB Torch Award twice. SA first received the award, then known as the Integrity Award, in 2003.
