Dorothy’s House

Integrated awareness campaign combats a serious problem.


Dorothy’s House needed to raise awareness for two fundraising events in 2019: the premiere screening of the documentary Gridshock and the second annual Fashion Show of Support. Proceeds from both events were given back to Dorothy’s House to support their mission of providing a safe place for the practice of life for those teen girls whose lives have been interrupted by sex trafficking and exploitation.


SA took an integrated approach to support Gridshock and FSOS pro-bono over a four-month period. Through compelling design work on posters, programs and other collateral, donated ad space in local print publications, multiple metro billboards and radio spots, event coordination and strategic communication in media relations and social media, SA delivered exceptional numbers in ticket sales, reach and impressions.


In just four months, earned media resulted in 3.8 million impressions and the donated ad space provided over 900,000 impressions. Dorothy’s House saw a 92% growth increase on Facebook and a 653% growth on Instagram. Ticket sales from both events brought in over $25,000 which was donated to Dorothy’s House.
