SA’s Lori Strum honored as ‘Ad Pro of the Year’
Strategic America (SA), a West Des Moines integrated marketing firm, recently was honored with two Silver ADDY® Awards at the American Advertising Federation’s (AAF) celebration.
A television spot developed on behalf of St. Jude Hospice received two Silver ADDY® Awards in the categories of:
- Elements of Advertising, Animation or Special Effects
- Elements of Advertising, Music with Lyrics
SA Senior Media Planner/Buyer Lori Strum also was honored as “Ad Pro of the Year,” an award which recognizes members who have been an active and vital part of the club for two years or more.
Strum serves as Programs Director for AAF of Des Moines and is the media person for the group’s community service project. At SA, she brings 25 years of solid marketing and media experience to clients, along with her extensive expertise in agricultural marketing. Strum has worked on behalf of nearly 40 agriculture-related firms and she is a member of the National Agri-Marketing Association, which presented her with its 2009 Horizon Award for her leadership and mentoring in the agri-marketing industry. Before joining SA in 2005, Strum held key media positions with three other Des Moines-area marketing firms.
The ADDY® Awards ceremony was held Feb. 16 in Des Moines. The ADDY® Awards are the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, recognizing and rewarding creative excellence in the art of advertising. Every year, approximately 60,000 entries are submitted in local ADDY® competitions across the United States.
