Strategic America’s Marketing Strategist, Jill Johnson, has been selected to be one of the 240 Data and Marketing Association’s (DMA) International ECHO Award Judges for 2017. The DMA International ECHO Awards is the longest running competition that celebrates strategy, creativity and results. Qualified campaigns are honored in 31 categories to designate the most-admired work across the data-driven marketing ecosystem.
Strategic America recently named Dave Miglin, vice president of interactive services, an agency principal. Miglin moved from Atlanta in 2013 to lead SA’s digital marketing strategy and interactive development. Miglin has nearly 30 years of local search and recruitment marketing experience. Over the years, Dave has worked with a number of local and national brands interested in driving leads through online and offline, local marketing programs.
Strategic America’s Caleb Bailey has received the Interactive Advertising Bureau’s (IAB) Digital Media Buyer and Planner Certification (DBPC) this past month and is one of the first the United States to hold this highly recognized and renowned certification. You can find a large pile of documents and paperwork on Caleb’s desk neatly stacked together. Since November 2016, he has been studying for the 100-question certification exam.
Strategic America has received a 2017 Bronze Telly at the 38th Annual Telly Awards for the “Faces of Broadlawns” spot produced for Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. The Telly Awards are the premier awards honoring the best in TV and cable, digital and streaming and non-broadcast productions. “Faces of Broadlawns” is the latest in a progressive series of spots intended to show how Broadlawns has grown to better serve the Des Moines community through the expansion of new convenient locations, new specialties and physicians and access to high quality healthcare for everyone.
Strategic America took home the only gold in a video category at this year’s American Advertising Federation Des Moines AA Awards (formerly known as the ADDYs) for the Iowa Lottery Proceeds Campaign. The four TV-spot campaign creatively illustrates how sales from lottery tickets become part of the state’s funding pool for education, conservation and helping veterans.
Strategic America’s public relations team received four PRIME Awards from the Central Iowa chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) at the 2016 PRIME Awards luncheon at its professional development conference, OctoPRfest. The chapter’s PRIME awards honor and acknowledge outstanding public relations campaigns and projects. Founder Michael Schreurs will continue his leadership role with Strategic America as chairman and chief strategist, but has chosen to step aside as CEO and appoint his brother John to lead the agency.
