New VP of Interactive Services Helps Clients Identify Today What Will Drive Results Tomorrow


(DES MOINES, IA, September 16, 2013) – Integrated marketing communications firm Strategic America (SA) has named digital veteran Dave Miglin as Vice President of Interactive Services. Dave has more than 20 years’ experience in the digital arena, which began in the early ’90s with TMP Worldwide / Monster Worldwide, then parent company to Monster.com, the website that revolutionized the nature of job search.

Miglin will work with SA clients to understand the big picture of digital communications, and how to bring together the right digital elements to enhance overall marketing strategy. He says many businesses have a broad understanding of what they should do digitally, but are not sure how to demonstrate the quantifiable results that justify expending precious marketing resources.

“When we introduce new digital strategies, companies will have no doubts about what’s working,” says Miglin. “We continue to fine-tune our measurement processes so that results are visible and quantifiable. This also means having honest conversations about things that are not working.

Miglin contends that many businesses are not putting enough emphasis on mobile and social, because they are not sure how to generate measurable results. He warns that these companies will be at a major disadvantage in the future, when competitors are able to use these tools more effectively to target customers.

“Dave is showing our clients how to do more than just be present in the digital space,” says SA CEO Mike Schreurs. “He is helping them to look ahead with confidence. Our clients are engaging, evaluating and leading.”

Miglin spent nearly five years as vice president for PinDot Media (formerly Ad Ventures, Inc.) in the Atlanta metro area. There, he determined what interactive, social, mobile and print marketing solutions the company would offer to help clients connect with prospective customers. Prior to that, he oversaw sales and operations at AppVault, and spent 15 years at TMP Worldwide, the company that bought Monster.com and helped it achieve global prominence in online job search.

A native of Aurora, Ohio, Miglin recently moved to Des Moines from suburban Atlanta. He quickly dived into Iowa culture, attending the RAGBRAI party in downtown Des Moines to learn first-hand about one of Iowa’s major attractions and traditions. He has two children, and he and his wife, Karen, are co-owners of For Our Future LLC, through which they developed a product called WedgEZ™, an outlet plug remover for households with small children.
