Strategic America Brings Home Two Gold Awards on Behalf of Clients


(DES MOINES, May 6, 2009) – Strategic America (SA) has received two Gold Awards from the Hermes Creative Awards 2009 competition, a prestigious international competition that recognizes select creative/design professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of materials. The competition is managed by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals’ (AMCP), an international organization including marketing, advertising, public relations, media production, communication and freelance professionals.

“Strategic America is very pleased to be in the recognized company of the industry’s best from all over the world,” says Mike Schreurs, SA’s CEO. “It is also a tremendous testament to our clients’ stellar services to their constituents and to their trust in our work.”

SA received these high honors for its work on behalf of two clients. One Gold Award recognized the television public service announcement that SA created to raise awareness of Quakerdale, a private, not-for-profit family and children’s service agency that provides preventive and therapeutic services in a Christian environment. SA also received a Gold Award for its work on an annual report for the Boy Scouts Mid-Iowa Council, which serves 20,000 youth in 27 central and southern-Iowa counties.

The Gold Award is given to entries that surpass the high standard of excellence and is a tremendous achievement. Of the nearly 4,000 entries, only an elite number receive a Gold Award annually. The judges select work that serves as a benchmark for the marketing and communication industry. The AMCP also promotes the charitable contributions of communication professionals.

In addition to honoring SA’s work for Quakerdale, the AMCP is also donating $500 to the organization, which it does for top winners in the Pro-Bono Category.
