Assistant Media Buyer

Job Description

This is a position to assist with the execution of traditional media and digital media buying and to grow and maintain workload.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist planners and buyers with industry and client research
• Work closely with buyers and planners on media placements
• Negotiate rates, placements and added value
• Assist buyers as needed
• Coordination of promotions
• Monitor buys, makegoods, budgets, traffic instructions and invoice reconciliation
• Digital reporting
• Review trade sources for trends in digital and social media
• Continue to expand knowledge of traditional, digital and social campaigns, such as posting, optimization, retargeting and analytics
• Attend workshops, webinars and classes to further knowledge and understanding of traditional and digital media

Position Requirements

• 2-3 years as media coordinator, or equivalent experience
• Experience with FreeWheel/Strata media buying software beneficial
• Proficient with Excel
• Knowledge of digital media preferred
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
