A summer internship in any department at SA is a great opportunity to gain knowledge and develop skills in the marketing and advertising disciplines. See details below for the specific departments looking for an ambitious intern for the summer of 2020:
Duties and Responsibilities
Media: Our media department does more than just buy and place media in every media market from coast to coast—though that’s no small feat. They’re crunching numbers and balancing our clients’ budgets to make sure they’re getting the most out of their investments. If media buying conjures up images of newspaper ads, you’re not too far off. Our team places advertisements in traditional and digital media—including banners, video pre-roll and every major social media network. As a summer intern in the media department you will primarily be responsible for market research, promotional materials, and much more. You will gain knowledge about audience targeting and the benefits of traditional, digital, and social media tactics.
Client Strategy and Service: Client services is the hub of strategic planning here at SA. They manage projects and communication with clients and our associates to make sure deadlines are met and advertising goals are achieved. As a summer intern in the CS&S department you will be responsible for managing marketing calendars for a variety of agency accounts. You will also learn the in’s and out’s of managing full-service marketing campaigns as a member of a cross-functional team.
Strategic Communications: We don’t “do PR”, we tell stories. We advance the brand/customer relationship by building a foundation of understanding that connects what a company has to offer and what their audience needs from them. We focus on strategy and storytelling to deliver the right message at the right time to bring forth action and results. As a summer intern in our department formally known as “PR” you will contribute to a team that is using progressive tactics to increase brand-awareness on multiple platforms, including a variety of social media and web outlets.
Interactive Services: Our interactive services department has a healthy mix of responsibilities—SEM, SEO, user experience, analytics, web design and all things online content. They handle all aspects of web design for our clients and help them learn what people are searching for online and how to get on consumers’ radars. Are you passionate about the tools marketers leverage to improve search results for local and national brands? This summer internship position is for you! You will learn more about all the 3 letter acronyms associated with online search tools and website management.
Data and Analytics: To be good marketers, we need to understand our audiences. Our data and analytics department is all the about the KPIs. With tools like BatchGeo, they help us figure out who we’re talking to, where we can find them and what will motivate them to take action. They also measure the effectiveness of our campaigns with tools like Tableau and Alteryx. Their reports help our clients understand their campaign results and plan next steps. We have 2 opportunities in this department this summer; one will be interfacing with the team responsible for coordinating the direct marketing efforts, including helping to execute the direct marketing strategies for existing, new, and prospective customers. As well as assisting with data analysis to refine the overall strategy for various clients. Opportunity to gain knowledge and develop skills in data analysis, direct marketing and marketing strategy. The other opportunity lives on the data support side of this department. If you speak (a little) of the following languages; SQL, R, Python and you have a passion for working with data, problem-solving, coding and Alteryx we want to talk to you!
