2008 Annual Report
The Mid-Iowa Council Boy Scouts begins 2009 with a new executive director and plans to build a new council service center—a great time of transition. The scouts asked us to keep the tradition of Scouting alive, while also showing the new and exciting times that are ahead. Of course, we were prepared.
As the council undergoes change, it’s important for the scouts to find their bearings and chart a course for the future. So, we proposed the theme of “navigation.” Encouraging scouts to stay the course using tried and tested scouting navigation tools, we also included the materials to create a handy compass—something no scout should be without.
