(DES MOINES, September 30, 2011) – For the third year in a row, Strategic America (SA), a full-service, integrated marketing firm based in West Des Moines, has won several coveted awards from the Des Moines Business Record (see pages 7, 12, 23). The Business Record surveys business leaders each year to determine which Des Moines-based businesses are the best in various categories.
This year, SA was named both the Best Public Relations Firm and Best Advertising Agency for the third consecutive year and also the Best Small Company with the Most Promising Future for the second year in a row. SA also finished as the runner-up in a new category added this year for Best Social Media Company.
“Strategic America is thrilled to once again be selected as the best in three categories and to receive recognition for the agency’s expertise in social media,” says SA President and COO John Schreurs. “We strive to constantly serve our clients and our community with our commitment to exceeding expectations, and feel honored that our endeavors are recognized by those in and outside of our industry.”
SA CEO Mike Schreurs notes that the agency grew 20 percent in revenues and profits during the fiscal year that ended in June, thanks to SA’s constant innovation in advertising and public relations.
The Business Record’s “Best Of” awards follow other honors SA has garnered this year based on creativity, strategy and results. SA won four Gold and four Silver Addy Awards, including top rankings for MAISPACE brand line including the logo and website, an interactive Wendy’s microsite called “Which Salad Are You? and for the Boy Scouts Maytag Center fundraiser.
At the local American Marketing Association’s annual NOVA Awards, SA earned Best in the Public Relations category for its planning and coordination of Taste of Chicago for Veria and second place in the Interactive Media category Wendy’s new salad product rollout in the Midwest. John Schreurs also was honored as the year’s Silver Medalist, for his expertise and tenure in the marketing industry. SA’s new headquarters also has been featured as a top digital agency for creative offices on Mashable, one of the largest blogs on the Internet.
