(DES MOINES, May 12, 2010) – Strategic America (SA) received three awards – a Platinum, a Gold and an Honorable Mention - from the Hermes Creative Awards 2010 competition, a prestigious international competition that recognizes select creative/design professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of materials. The competition is managed by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals’ (AMCP), an international organization including marketing, advertising, public relations, media production, communication and freelance professionals.
“SA is celebrating 30 years of business this year and I can think of no better testament to our talented staff than these awards,” says Mike Schreurs, SA’s CEO. “Top honors on an international stage require creativity and true strategic understanding of our clients.”
SA received these high honors for its work on behalf of two clients. The Platinum award was given to the Fight Morning Face coffee promotion for the Kum and Go convenience store chain in 12 states. Long-time client, the Iowa Finance Authority, won both a Gold and Honorable Mention in two different categories for its 2008 annual report.
The Gold and Platinum awards are given to entries that surpass the high standard of excellence and both are tremendous achievements. Of the nearly 3,600 entries, only an elite number receive Gold or Platinum recognition annually. The judges select work that serves as a benchmark for the marketing and communication industry. The AMCP also promotes the charitable contributions of communication professionals.
