SA was tasked with rejuvenating i wireless’ current brand by developing a campaign to support the convergence of i wireless and MEGAtalk into one brand. Previously, i wireless and MEGAtalk were separate and the transition was designed to provide a broader range of options to expand the target audience while capitalizing on its popularity and recognition.
SA refreshed the MEGAtalk logo, developed radio & TV spots, outdoor advertising and point-of-sale (POS) creative to promote the launch of MEGAtalk. The creative focused on Johnny MEGAtalk, a smart phone “comedian” who delivered messaging and witty remarks to encourage customers to purchase both prepaid and post-paid plans.
i wireless' response to the Johnny MEGAtalk campaign has been positive both internally and externally, which has resulted in a smooth brand transition for the company.
