Applications Systems Analyst II

Strategic America, a full service marketing and communications company, has an immediate opening in their programming department.

Job responsibilities:

• Design, develop and modify ASP.NET / C# applications
• Design, develop and maintain SQL database schemas, scripts
• Participate in QA practices and testing
• Contribute to implementation efforts (environment setup, end user support, etc.)
• Provide weekly updates on project status
• Perform other tasks on projects as needed/assigned

Required skills and experience for position:

• Proficient with web development and associated technologies (HTML, Javascript, CSS, etc.)
• Ability to create and modify scripts, stored procedures, triggers and functions as well as query, extract, and update data in Microsoft SQL Server
• Minimum 2+ years development experience with at least 1 year in Microsoft.NET development (preferably in C#), designing and modeling applications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or related field OR equivalent experience
• Good attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload to meet project goals within tight deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written communication, oral communication and listening skills
• Creativity in various aspects of development. Someone who thinks outside the box; ability to innovate and problem solve
• Must be self-motivated and results-oriented

Pluses:

• Experience with Windows 2003 servers, llS, MS SQL, & MySQL
• Ability to build HTML from Photoshop document
• Knowledge of DotNetNuke
• Knowledge of PHP or other languages not listed
• Working knowledge of MVC
• Experience with Ajax, ADO.NET Entity Framework, Web Services, Visual Studio Team System, jQuery
• Experience with UI development
• Previous experience in advertising/marketing field
